Chamber Ad Insert

Published in the December 2014 Forum for Business magazine, this front and back advertisement insert has a section that readers could fill out and mail back.  I wrote the content and designed the layout using Adobe InDesign.

"We've launched a campus-wide initiative to make our school more environmentally aware. In particular, the High School Reading and Natural Science courses have joined forces to give our campus a thorough Spring Cleaning. The students picked their own projects, and then did the necessary research prior to beginning."

Standing for Hope

The Salvation Army's Fall 2014 Newsletter offers a touching success story, an update on the Capital Campaign, and recruited Christmas volunteers.  Aside from the "Major's Moment" section, I developed all content and artwork.

This press release was written to promote The Vanguard School's first-ever Poetry Showcase.  This program showcased original and creative work from our talented students. Writing poetry allows students, especially those who struggle with social interactions, the liberty to put their thoughts, fears, and hopes on paper.

Building Hope for Families in Need

This article for The Salvation Army showcases my ability to weave heartfelt human interest into a fact-based piece.  The point of this article was the new George W. Jenkins Community of Hope, which would someday help families like the Crawfords obtain self-sufficiency.
